The Municipal Service Review Update has been provided by the City of Shafter to assist the Kern County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) with an update of the Service Review in accordance with Section 56430 of the California Government Code. The Service Review Update evaluates the public services provided by the City and other service districts and proposed changes to the City's sphere of influence and boundary that are currently under consideration. The Municipal Service Review Guidelines prepared by the State Office of Planning and Research were used to develop information, perform analysis and organize this study.
