The MCCF was contracted with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to house 640 state inmates.

Mission of the MCCF

The mission of the Shafter MCCF is to provide a safe environment for staff and inmates through professional service delivery in cooperation with our CDCR teammates.

We provide contractual services for the CDCR to generate revenues to enhance the quality of life of the citizens of the City of Shafter, through professionalism and in accordance with the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and the philosophies of the MCCF.
