Agricultural Property for Lease

The City of Shafter is seeking proposals from any parties interested in leasing approximately 80 acres of farmland generally located west of Shafter Avenue and south of Burbank Avenue in the City of Shafter, more precisely described below. The Property is within the boundaries of the Shafter Wasco Irrigation District. Additionally, the property has access to a City-owned water well producing at least 1,000 gal per minute which can be operated at the tenants expense. The City will consider lease proposals up to five years in length.

Location of Property for Lease
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, in Section 28, Township 28 South, Range 25 East, M.D.B.M., according to Sales Map of Lands of Kern County Land Company on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County. Subject to easements, rights of way, rights and restrictions of record; and excepting therefrom those portions thereof upon which the City’s wastewater plant property, animal confinement facility and other City facilities and properties of the City that are historically not farmed;
